Fattoria Il Lago is located near the small village of Dicomano, and it’s located exactly between the areas of Chianti Rufina and Mugello, the first is characterized by the presence of many wineries to visit , the second is a very green area characterized by the charm of small country towns; the two areas are very close to Florence.
What you can visit during your stay:

Florence:

Florence, just 40 minutes away , is the main destination for our guests ; it is useless to describe what it is possible to visit in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There is even an easy and confortable service of train to reach the center of Florence without problems of parking the cars , driving in town , avoiding stress and traffic.

Dicomano our village:

located 2 km far from the farm, it’s a small town characterized by arcades in the old main street where there are various shops, two big squares , and the ancient group of houses located along the river that runs alongside the town ; nearby the archaeological site of the Etruscan excavations and its museum located in the center of the village can be visited by booking a tour .
In Dicomano You can find supermarkets, restaurants, pizzerias, coffee bars, pharmacy, and a little but useful train station .
 

Visit of the Chianti Rufina wineries :

In about 20 minutes you can reach many wine farms of our “Chianti Rufina”area where You can visit the the cellars and even taste their wines.

Mugello tour:

In about 30 minutes you can reach the various towns of Mugello each with different characteristics: Vicchio for the house of Giotto, a famous medieval painter ; Borgo San Lorenzo for its historic center ; Scarperia for the ancient Palazzo Vecchio , the palace that was built before the one in Florence on the same architectural style ; the large Bilancino lake for wonderful walks along its shores ; the Mugello International Ferrari Circuit for speed car races, and the Outlet “The Mall”for convenient fashion shopping.

Visit of the Casentino:

In about 40 minutes you can arrive in Casentino area, where the beauty of the landscape characterized by its Natural Park (Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi) joins that of its charming and typical villages, with small medieval villages and ancient castles.

Tuscany tour:

Pisa – Lucca – Arezzo all destinations easily reachable in just over an hour by car.
